  • Co-Founder, CEO & Managing Partner

    Brad is a globally recognized leader in startup acceleration, corporate innovation, and venture ecosystems, with 20 years of experience shaping the future of technology and business across 30+ countries. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Xploration Partners, Brad works at the intersection of startups, corporations, governments, and investors to uncover breakthrough technologies, scale high-growth ventures, and build transformative partnerships.

    Brad has worked with more than 1,000 startups and over 200 corporations, facilitating more than 300 partnerships and over 100 investments. He is known for helping startups develop, grow, and succeed; helping corporations innovate and accelerate opportunities at scale; and enabling VCs and CVCs to identify and back the next generation of industry-defining ventures.

    Brad has first-hand experience as a serial founder, a VC General Partner & CVC investor for both domestic and international firms, and a corporate executive focused on strategic partnerships and global business development—providing a multifaceted perspective on how to identify, accelerate, and scale breakthrough technologies and new opportunities.

    While at RocketSpace, which has an unparalleled track record of 25+ startup unicorns valued at over $250 billion, his roles included Head of Startups & Venture Capital and VP of Corporate Innovation, where he gained invaluable insight into what it takes for startups to achieve unicorn status, what VCs really look for, and what corporations not only want—but truly need.

    He has run both startup and corporate accelerators focused on AI & ML, Climate Tech & Clean Energy, Mobility & Autonomous Systems, Biotech & Digital Health, DeepTech & Robotics, Generative AI Strategy & Implementation, Semiconductors & HPC, AgTech & FoodTech, Sustainability & Smart Cities, and Battery Tech & Advanced Manufacturing.

    Ana is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in corporate innovation. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in helping Global Fortune 500 corporations from diverse industries develop new business strategies leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Ana has worked with startups and corporations across energy, agriculture, food, consumer goods, and other industries to bring innovative technology solutions to market. Over her career, she has worked with more than 1,000 startups and 100 corporates, facilitating over 200 partnerships.

    During her time at RocketSpace, Ana guided corporations in innovation strategies, from establishing corporate venture capital arms for companies like JetBlue and De Beers to launching and managing accelerators. She also led corporations on startup scouting, investment, and acquisitions initiatives to drive strategic growth. During her tenure at Rabobank, Ana became one of the founding members of Rabobank’s innovation team where she played a pivotal role in launching Foodbytes and TERRA. Foodbytes is a startup pitch competition and networking platform connecting top food & agriculture startups, corporates, and investors. TERRA is a renowned food & agriculture accelerator.

    Ana is also Faculty at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley leading the Cleantech to Market (C2M) program. She previously served as Chief Innovation Officer of the Open Innovation Squad at UC Berkeley’s Garwood Center, guiding interdisciplinary student teams on corporate innovation projects. 

    Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business.
